about

"We were not sure what to do after 9/11, but Buzzy and I knew we wanted to stand for a peaceful, non-violent response through music. All we could think was let’s throw a Peace Party and see who wants in. This was also our first chance to work with Mitch Stein who took over as music director and rehearsed the band. Everyone named here and the couple hundred in attendance put their time and heart into a night dedicated to peace and music. Including the opening music, this was a very full night of music generously hosted by the unique people and space known as The Box. Although named as a benefit for Buzzy, the financial gains then were minimal, but listening to it has brought us great joy. So, we have decided to release this to you in case you like it too. We had a second Peace Party in December on 2001 featuring Taos Hum as the main act and we have personal archive recordings of that fine show as well. We hope you enjoy this and that you support peace! Xeno and Buzzy"
